SKODA CONCEPT VISION IN
Skoda has unveiled their new SUV concept Sketches which is coming to India. The Concept is named "
Vision IN" which a aggressive, futuristic SUV. The VISION IN will be directly competing with the
KIA SELTOS and
HYUNDAI CRETA. SKODA is just unveiled the looks of the car till now ,but the official concept car will be showcased in the Auto Expo 2020 which gonna held in India in the month of February.
DESIGN
The car looks sharp and futuristic with the big grill and the SKODA logo on the bonnet. The split headlamps matches the overall styling of the car. The bumper area is giving the car a robust look with skid plates designing. From the Exterior it looks like the driver is going to have a high seating position and having a view all over the bonnet area. We can see sleek roof rails at the top of the car from the front. The ORVM's look sleek and looks like that they have turn indicators in them. The Side look is pretty aggressive too with the large wheels sticking out from the wheel arches. The shoulder lines look amazing on the sides. Talking about the rear we can see futuristic, sleek, aggressive Tail lights which are gonna be LED's as I expect. There is similar skid plate treatment like the front bumper in the rear. What I basically like is the SKODA logo at the back, seams gonna be a part of the tail lamp.
It was all about the exterior now lets see the interior of the car.In the sketch we can clearly observe the big infotainment screen, which is gonna be touch screen. Another thing which is notable is the unique design of the AC vents. If you observe carefully you can see through the steering wheel a screen, which might be the all digital instrumental console, MID. The steering wheel is a flat bottom one with buttons for stereo controls as I guess. It gets a big SKODA branding over the horn pad. The interior looks absolutely sleek with almost no buttons on offer, The body coloured orange treatment all over the dashboard and door looks just amazing.
ENGINE EXPECTATIONS
The SKODA VISION IN concept is
expected with a
1.0 Litres 3- cylinder BS6 Petrol Engine producing maximum
power of 116.59 PS and
200 Nm of maximum torque, this engine will be paired with a
6- speed manual or
7- speed automatic transmission. As SKODA has announced that they are not gonna continue their Diesel engines in BS6 ,So the VISION IN will not be getting a Diesel option.
CONCLUSION
SKODA is trying to grab market in India as they are working on producing cars in India. Recently they are working on introducing a new SUV in Indian market named ''
KAMIQ'' . According to me the new VISION IN concept fells a awesome product but the only thin which I fell is a downfall is the launch date. Yes, the concept car is going to be showcased in the Auto Expo 2020 on February 5th, But the official launch is expected is somewhere around 2021, which kinda long time. If SKODA brings the SUV in mid or late 2020 than it would be awesome , otherwise 2021 fells to late for this car.
