Hello and welcome back, In this article I will tell you about some amazing tips to get maximum mileage from you motorcycle. Now a days you never know when the price of fuel rises up and when it will go down. Almost every person in India thinks twice about mileage before buying a motorcycle. But the original mileage is not what the company claims. Actually, the company claimed mileage is tested in controlled situations, such as no braking, weather control conditions, etc .
Here are some useful tips for getting maximum mileage out of your bike.

Always Refuel from a trusted Petrol Pump.

The first thing is that the petrol which you are filling in you motorcycle should be pure. Always refuel from a source which is trusted. A bad quality fuel will not only give a low mileage as well as it can damage you motorcycle engine also. Which nobody wants, so always refuel from a trusted or pure source .

Parking

Always try to park your motorcycle in a shaded place. Because under direct sunlight not only you motorcycle's colour will fade but also the petrol will start to vaporise in a vast quantity. I am not saying it's important every time, if its only for a minute or a couple of hours than you can actually park it anywhere.

Right Tyre Pressure

Generally people ignore it ,but this is one of the most important factors affecting mileage. The correct Tyre Pressure of your motorcycle is written either on the Owner's Manual or on the chain cover of the bike. Actually when the tyre pressure is low then the engine needs to put more power to pull the motorcycle, which results in more fuel consumption. So always check your tyre pressure in one or two weeks approximately.

Braking pedal

Have you ever noticed that some people rest there foot on the braking pedal and the footpeg at the same time. This is also a major but unknown factor affecting mileage. Actually when this thing happens the brakes being in engaged position try to stop the wheel on the other side the engine as the riders engage the throttle at the same time then the engine needs to produce more power than general.

Don't shift unnecessarily

Shifting to much is also a factor of dropping mileage. Unnecessary gear shifts forces the engine to work under fluctuating speeds and fluctuating loads , which tends to more consumption of fuel.

Ride under Economical speeds

Its said that "To gain something one has to lose something" . Similarly, if you want more mileage than you need to drop the idea to going fast. You should always ride in the economical speed which is something from 40 kmph to 70 kmph.

Don't go harsh on Throttle and Brakes

Don't go harsh on throttle and brakes. Ride in a lighter ridding style . If you want more mileage than you need to addopt a lighter ridding style. Try go smooth on the throttle. You should apply the right amount of brake at a time , not to hard ,no too soft.

Maintain your Motorcycle

Always Maintain your motorcycle. Maintaining a motorcycle means that you should change your engine oil at the right time as well as change or cleaning your motorcycle's air filter, chain tightening and lubricating ,etc.

These 8 tips can really help you to get maximum mileage out of your motorcycle.
