TOYOTA URBAN CRUISER
Toyota this year launched the second rebranded Maruti Suzuki car which is Toyota Urban Cruiser which is basically not other than Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Earlier Toyota rebranded Maruti Suzuki Baleno and launched it as Toyota Glanza and now it's Brezza. Actually it was expected that Maruti Suzuki XL6 was the next shared model to Toyota but surprisingly it came out to be Vitara Brezza. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser has just minor cosmetic changes compared to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, similarly as Baleno-Glanza.
Talking about engine specifications, the Toyota Urban Cruiser comes with the same 1.5 litres 4 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which is available with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. This petrol engine produces 104.72 PS power @ 6000 RPM and 138 Nm of torque @ 4400 RPM. The Urban Cruiser is offered with 5 speed manual or 4 speed torque converter automatic transmission options.

Compared to Vitara Brezza, the Urban Cruiser is absolutely similar except rebranding ( swapping Maruti Suzuki logo with Toyota ) and minor changes such as new grill ( inspired from Toyota Fortuner ). Other than this the changes are on variants offered and pricing. The Urban Cruiser is offered in the variants which are MID, HIGH and PREMIUM which are corresponding to Vitara Brezza's VXI,ZXI and ZXI + variants. The Toyota Urban Cruiser starts from 8.40 lakhs and goes up to 11.30 lakhs Ex-Showroom Delhi.
The Urban Cruiser offered the same features which the Vitara Brezza does, even the infotainment system is same, other than that the cars being same so they share the same dimensions, weight and other specifications.
Now the main question, why you should even consider Urban Cruiser?
The answer is when you want to buy Brezza but don't like Maruti Suzuki or you only want to buy a Toyota car but like Vitara Brezza. Other than that upon buying from Toyota you would find that the after sales service such are regular service is done much detail compared to Maruti Suzuki. Although there is not much difference in the car as it's built in a Maruti Suzuki plant and comes with the same build quality and the same interior material quality, and it's also has 4 star safety rating given by Global NCAP.
