Hero has refreshed it's most popular motorcycle Hero Passion Pro and Hero Glamour along with newly introduced Hero Xtreme 160 R. The new motorcycles will be a part of Hero motorcorp's BS6 fleet. In this article I am going to tell you about the New Hero Glamour.
The Hero Glamour has always been a popular as well as a trusted motorcycle in the 125cc segment. Overtime there are changes but the frame and the body remained the same as a reliable option.
As we all know that after 1st April 2020 no more BS4 bikes would be sold so, Hero is prepared for the BS6 norms.

Hero Glamour BS6 2020
The new Glamour comes with a new Headlamp and smoke treatment for the pilot lamps. I did spotted minor changes on the tank too. Other than these the bikes gets an all new Diamond frame. Earlier Glamour use to come with double cradle frame but now it features a new Diamond frame. Not just that the bike now gets more suspension travel by 14% more in front and 10% more in rear which increases the ground clearance by 30%. This make a huge change in the overall ergonomics of the motorcycle.
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS
The new BS6 Glamour will come with a new 125cc single cylinder four stroke, air cooled fuel injected BS6 engine. This engine will be coupled up with a new 5 - speed gearbox. This new engine will produce a maximum power of 10.87 PS at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm.Compairing with the BS4 engine, the new engine has dropped power by 1 PS and 1 Nm of torque.
FEATURES
The new Glamour will come with longer suspension travel as well as more ground clearance which I have mentioned above. The motorcycle will have live mileage indicator which will tell the mileage live when ridden.It also gets thicker tyres compaired to previous version. The bike will feature a new AUTO SAIL TECHNOLOGY which will help to move in traffic with just the use of clutch lever, no throttle is needed. This Auto Sail technology is same as the Glide Through Traffic feature which is introduced in the TVS APACHE 4v BS6 series. Other that that the motorcycle will come with i3s ( Idle Start Stop System) and iBs (Integrated Braking System)
The Motorcycle will come in two variants - The base variant which will come with drum brakes are priced at Rs 68,900 and the Top variant which will come with 240 mm disc brakes at front us priced at Rs 72,400.
The Glamour will be offered in four colour options which are - Radiant Red, Techno Blue, Tornado Grey and Sports Red.
