Great Wall Motors which is a Chinese automobile manufacturer and is going to step into Indian Market, as it showcased 5 cars in the Auto Expo 2020 India. The Great Wall Motors has showcased the Haval H9 which would be competing with the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. Apart from that it has showcased the Haval F7X, F7 and F5 cars , Along with there is a small Electric hatchback named GWM R1 EV.
Although these cars will launch around in 2021 in India as all the cars which were showcased were in there Chinese spec models, with Left hand side Steering.
The GWM R1 EV is a compact Electric car. The car was showcased in two colours i.e Blue and Green. The car has dual tone colours with dual tone alloys too. Talking about the looks the car felt futuristic retro styled with the basic front with circular LED headlamps , plain side with dual tone white starting from the c- pillar. The rear was basic to with the squarish tail lamps. The charging socket is placed beneath the GWM logo at the front. The interiors are basic as well with the three spoke steering wheel with audio controls mounted on it and twin pod instrumental console. the car gets a floating touch screen infotainment system. It gets a knob to select drive mode which is situated below the infotainment system. The car is compact yet 2 people can sit comfortably at the back. If it gets launched in India than it's going to be in two variants one with 28.5kWh battery, 15 inch alloys with a rang of 301km and other with 33 kWh battery, 16 inch alloys with a rang of 351km.
The HAVAL F7 is a classic SUV from the GWM. As of now the car will be offered in 2 petrol engine in which one of them would be a turbo GDi, probably taken from HYUNDAI group and a 7 speed DCT. The car feels big and as a sporty SUV, The overall interior quality feels good. It gets an all digital instrumental console and a touch screen infotainment system. The car is really spacious and gets key SUV features such as panoramic sunroof. This 5 seater SUV will be offered in two wheel drive as well as Four wheel drive variants.
The HAVAL F5 is basically the smaller version of the HAVAL F7. The HAVAL F5 gets similar design language as the HAVAL F7 in fact the interior is almost the same. The HAVAL F5 is rather styled as a coupe than a SUV. The car is expected to come with a 1.5 Ltrs petrol engine which will produce a maximum power of 124 kW and a maximum torque of 285 Nm.
The HAVAL F7X gets coupe styling with attractive alloys. Talking about interior the car gets all digital instrumental console along with a touch screen infotainment system. The car gets a flat bottom steering wheel for the sporty feel. The interior felt decent with the regular Sunroof. The car will be offered with two engine options. It will get a 1.5 Ltrs petrol turbo GDi engine which will produce a maximum power of 124 kW and 285 Nm of torque while the other engine will be a 2 Ltrs petrol which will produce a maximum power of 164 kW and a huge torque of 385 Nm. There are possibilities of a Diesel engine too.
HAVAL H9 is a full sized SUV. The design of the car is bulky and a bit old, but the features provided are just awesome. It gets 18 inch alloys with basic alloy design, the car gets 360 degree parking camera. It gets a 2 Ltrs TGDi Petrol engine which produces a maximum power output of 164 kW and maximum torque output of 385 Nm. The gets almost no boot space with all the 3 rows up , while the seats can be reclined with just a single touch of a button. The car is massively spacious and premium with features such as laptop charging port. It gets a big panoramic sunroof. The car also gets electrically adjustable front seats but the middle row lacks thigh support. The car is a 7 seater SUV which makes it a big rival of the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
