TVS iQUBE Electric Scooter launched - Price , Features, Images and Range revealed | Direct competitor of Bajaj Chetak EV.

As the future is all about EV's and we can sense by the back to back launches of Electric Vehicles in India. From cars such as MG ZS EV , Hyundai Kona and Tata Nexon to electric bikes and scooters such as the Bajaj Chetak to Honda PCX scooter.

TVS iQUBE 


This new electric scooter is a basic commuter EV for the daily uses. The scooter is the first EV from the Indian brand TVS. The iQUBE EV gives a range of 75 km. TVS iQUBE EV is priced at Rs   1.15 lakhs (Ex-showroom) which makes it a prime competitor of the Bajaj Chetak which comes with the same price.

Design 


The design of the iQUBE EV is pretty simple and basic with a futuristic touch. The front visor consists of a U- shaped LED DRL which makes the scooter look futuristic meanwhile the headlamp is situated on the front apron which is all LED unit. The headlamp design is pretty neat and poses a strip design which consists the headlamp unit and the turn indicators. The rear end is also basically designed with simple and similar strip like designing consisting the tail lamps and rear turn indicators which are LED's.


Engine and Performance

The TVS iQUBE gets a 4.4kW motor with 3 lithium-ion batteries. iQUBE with this motor can achieve a maximum range of 75 km and has a top speed of 78 kmph. The scooter can achieve 0 to 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds.
Talking about the batteries can be fully charged with a fast charger in 60 minutes while it takes whole night to fully charge from the regular or portable charger.

Features


The scooter comes with the TVS in house smartXconnect which we have seen earlier in TVS Ntorq and in the newly launched TVS Apache 200  RTR 4V. It gets a digital instrumental console with Bluetooth connectivity. It gets disc brakes in front and rear drum brakes with CBS. The scooter comes with under seat usb port for charging purpose,Other than these the iQUBE offers the following features :-

Conclusion

The new TVS iQUBE EV is going to complete directly with the Bajaj Chetak EV. As both the  scooter are made for masses from big Indian brands so there is going to be a tough competition between both the products. The TVS iQUBE is priced at Rs 1.15 lakhs , which is the competition price as the Bajaj Chetak EV is also priced at same price point.
