Honda has also started to move towards BS6 as it is going to launch the 6 th generation of the Legendary ACTIVA ,which is obviously gonna be BS6 compliant. Unlike most of the 110 cc motor scooters moving to 125cc segment, Honda decides not to do this with the ACTIVA. The ACTIVA 6G is gonna have a new 109.51cc BS6 engine. Yes there is drop in the power figures, which we will be telling you a bit later before that let's see what all are changed.
Activa 6G BS6
The new 6 the generation Activa is gonna have a new BS6 compliant 109.51cc, which is probably gonna have fuel injection. This new BS6 engine produces maximum power of 7.89 PS @ 8000 RPM, if we compare this to the BS4 engine which produced maximum power of 8.07 PS @ 7500 RPM. This means that the power has dropped. There are no official data related to the torque figures till now, I think we will get that after the launch date which is 15 January 2020. Yes, 15 January 2020 is the official launch date of the scooter to be launched.
WHAT TO EXPECT ?
So here is the official circular upon which ACTIVA 6G is expected. In this circular You can spot all the details such as the engine specification and the dimensions are mentioned. You can spot it mentions that " ACTIVA 6G with LED and Digital Speedometer, this indicates there might be changes in the headlamp as well as the speedometer.
OTHER CHANGES
There are difference in the dimension compared to the BS4 model, this means the scooter may come with new design. The ACTIVA 6G is 22mm longer in wheelbase, 72mm longer in Length, 13mm less wider and 2mm higher than the ACTIVA 5G . The ACTIVA 6G will feature some of the new feature in the recently launched ACTIVA 125 BS6, such as silent start, etc. The scooter is expected to come with telescopic suspensions at front. The basic things such as the LED headlamps as well as the analog digital instrumental console are expected to be the same.
PRICE ?
Being one of the most sold scooter HONDA will try to keep the scooter in lower price bracket. Being BS6 there are possible price hike of about Rs. 4000 to 5000. The estimated price would be around Rs 56,000 to 60,000 (ex- showroom Delhi).
CONCLUSION
There is a price hike of about 4000 to 5000, which is genuine as it takes money to add the technologies to make your vehicle BS6. Other than that until April 2020, the BS4 version will not be discontinued.
