Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gets BS6 Compliant
As we all know BS6 norms are gonna kick in from April 2020, So motorcycle manufacturers are getting ready for it. So Royal Enfield is to, They have launched the Classic 350 BS6 variant at Rs 1.65 lakhs (ex-showroom) .
The New Bs6 Classic 350 gets majorly three changes, other than that the bike is absolutely the same as it's BS4 model. Yes the bike has lose some power and torque despite that there is no major difference felt while riding. But there are no official data about the power and torque figures unveiled till yet. The BS6 model is introduced with two new colour schemes that are Stealth Black and Chrome Black. The Chrome Black colour will be offered with spoke wheels and tube tires ,where as the Stealth Black colour and other colours will be offered with alloy wheels and tubeless tires.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 changes
As mentioned above the bike gets a total three major changes so here they are :-
- Electronic Fuel Injection - Classic 350 BS6 gets electronic fuel injection system. Royal Enfield says that the EFI is programmed to give maximum power delivery along with considerably good mileage.
- New Catalytic converter - You can easily spot the new catalytic converter now on the exhaust bend pipe. Beside the chunkey catalytic converter we can spot the oxygen sensor which is now mandatory for BS6 compliant vehicles.
- Side Stand Safety Sensor- The new classic 350 BS6 gets side stand sensor which doesn't let the engine start while the stand is in engaged position.
CONCLUSION
The new Classic 350 BS6 is about Rs 11,000 expensive than the ABS equipped BS4 models. All the new Classic 350 gets dual channel ABS which is standard. This new BS6 model has lesser thump than the BS4 models, as well as lesser exhaust note too. If you want to install an aftermarket exhaust for loud exhaust note , than there might be problems as the new model comes with EFI, and oxygen sensors which may create a mess. The motorcycle fells much refined and smooth while riding, yes there are vibration felt on the handlebars, which are much lesser than the previous models.
