WHAT IS BS6 ? All BSVI CARS AND BIKES AVAILABLE IN INDIA DECEMBER 2019.

In 2017 BS4 came to lime light when suddenly it was announced that post April 2017 no more BS3 Bikes/cars  will be sold in the market. Since than people have keen to know what is this BS4 which hiked the prices of there favourite motorcycles/ cars. What are does BS4 offers and What is this? 
It's 2019 and we all know that BS6 compliant motorcycles/ cars are coming and post April 2020, Motorcycles / cars not compliant to this will no longer be sold. 

So, What is this BS4 and BS6? 
Before understand BS4 and BS6 , Lets understand what is the full form and what does it means.

BHARAT STAGE EMISSION SYSTEM (BSES)

Bharat Stage Emission System or in short  BSES, commonly known as just BS. Bharat Stage are emission standards introduced by the Government of India to control the air pollution from vehicles and engines used as equipments.  The standards and the time to implement are set by the Central pollution Control Board under the Ministry of Environment,  Forest and climate change. 
These standards are based on European regulations. 

BS STAGES 

These stages compile the percentage of gases which should be emitted from the vehicle or engine which compliance the stage.  
Bharat stages
BS1
BS2
BS3-2010
BS4 - 2017
BS6- 2020

NOW, I think you have understood what's BHARAT STAGE and what does the stages mean. 

So , In April 2020 BS6 is going to be compulsory,  But companies are ready for it so here is the list of Cars and Motorcycles which are  already BS6 compliant.

BIKES

1. HERO SPLENDOR  i-Smart 110

This is the BSVI compliant motorcycle launched in India. It was also the first BSIV motorcycle to be launched in 2017. The new BSVI may get fuel Injection.

2. HONDA SP 125

Honda's first BSVI compliant motorcycle is the new HONDA SP125, which is the successor of the HONDA SHINE SP125.

3. YAMAHA FZ S FI V3

One of the Yamha's most popular motorcycle in the 150 segment gets BSVI compliant.

4. TVS APACHE 200 4v

The new TVS Apache 200 4v gets all new race inspired stickers and TVS's smartXonnect which was introduced in the NTORQ. The new Apache 200 4v gets new all LED headlamp setup which looks super aggressive. Along with that TVS introduces new RT-FI ( Race Tuned Fuel Injection) and GTT ( Glide Through Traffic) features. 

5. TVS APACHE 160 4v

The 160 4v also gets the new and aggressive all LED headlamp setup along with new stickers. The 160 4v also gets the new RT- FI and GTT feature. But certainly it doesn't gets the smartXonnect features.

6. KTM 

KTM is all set for the BSVI norms as all the bikes gets BSVI compliant and will sold from December onwards.

7. SUZUKI's Gixxer Series

Recently launched SUZUKI GIXXER 150 ,250 are BSVI compliant from launch.

CARS

1. All MARUTI SUZUKI  CARS

Almost all cars from Maruti Suzuki are BSVI compliant , Looks like they are fully ready for BSVI.

4. KIA SELTOS 

KIA's first car in India comes not only with awesome features but also with a BSVI compliant engine.

5. JEEP COMPASS

One of the Premium cars in India Jeep Compass comes BSVI ready.

6. HYUNDAI ELANTRA 

Hyundai's ELANTRA sedan car also comes with a BSVI compliant engine. 

7. MERCEDES BENZ E CLASS

All the cars comes in the E Class gets upgraded to a BSVI compliant engine. 

8. AUDI A6 

The new generation of AUDI A6 recently launched in India equip a BSVI compliant engine.
