The Apache series of TVS is a grand success from the time it was launched for the first time. It has faced many upgrades in this long journey. As we know from April 2020, BSVI norms are gonna kick in. So motorcycle manufacturers are getting prepared about it. So as TVS is, as they have made the Apache 4V series BSVI ready. Not just BSVI ready the new Apache 4v series are gonna have a loads of new features as well as a new look.
The new Apache 4v series includes the same RTR 160 4V and the RTR 200 4V. Both the motorcycles are gonna a get a new refreshing graphic update as well as new aggressive All LED headlamp setup with claw position DRLs.
TVS APACHE RTR 200 4V BSVI
The motorcycle gets all new headlamp setup which is all LED headlamp setup and looks aggressive . The RTR 200 4v gets 3 new features:-
1. RT-Fi- RACE TUNED FUEL- INJECTION technology, It is tuned as per race which ensures proper fuel and air mixture to deliver better power and torque output.
2. GTT - In Glide Through Traffic feature the rider can ride the bike in bumper to bumper traffic without the use of throttle.
3. Smart X Connect - This feature was first introduced in TVS Ntorq, In this feature the rider can connect his phone via bluetooth using TVS app, and then he/ she can use a loads of features such as Turn by turn navigation, Low fuel warning, Race telemetry, Lean angle mode, Crash alerts and call/ SMS alerts.
Other than that all the things are same as the BSIV version such as slipper clutch and dual channel ABS.
TVS APACHE RTR 160 4V BSVI
It also gets the same LED headlamp setup which the 200 4v gets. Along that it gets 2 new features :-
1. RT-Fi- RACE TUNED FUEL- INJECTION technology, It is tuned as per race which ensures proper fuel and air mixture to deliver better power and torque output.
2. GTT - In Glide Through Traffic feature the rider can ride the bike in bumper to bumper traffic without the use of throttle.
unfortunately it doesn't gets the Smart X Connect feature which is kinda disappointing, Other than that all the things are same as the BSIV version such as single channel ABS, instrumental console.
CONCLUSION
The bikes fell absolutely same in comfort and handling wise , Yet the new BSVI engines fell smooth, Yes the power and torque figures have dropped in comparison with their BSIV version, but didn't fell much while riding. The exhaust note is much gruntier than before.The bikes are launched as it is available in several official dealerships across India.
