KTM RC 125 , MOST POWERFUL 125CC MOTORCYCLE
KTM motorcycles are always eye catching and fun to ride but due to the displacement such as 200cc 250cc etc, Indian parents don't want their kids to give that powerful and expensive motorcycle. So, recently KTM in India launch Duke 125 with power and torque figures equal to any 150 cc motorcycle available in India, with all the premium features such as a fully digital informative instrumental console along with single channel ABS and durable body / frame of a 200cc motorcycle. all these things made the KTM Duke 125 a successful and great deal for youngsters as well as KTM fan boys.
After the massive success of the KTM Duke 125. KTM is back to ignite the market again with its entry level sports motorcycle KTM RC 125. RC 125 will catch more attention as it is a fully faired sports motorcycle as well as will be available with a smaller 125 cc engine. Although this is the same engine which we see in the Duke 125 and we expect that the RC 125 will also be a massive success as the Duke 125.
So let's see what all the KTM RC 125 offers At a price point of Rs. 1.47 lakhs .
KTM RC 125
KTM RC 125 is identical to the KTM RC 200 or 390. the KTM RC 125 has the same 124.7 CC liquid cooled single cylinder four stroke four valve DOHC engine which we see in KTM Duke 125. This engine produces the same 14.5 PS of power at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. It has the same 6 speed gearbox. Talking about other things the motorcycle has a 10 litre petrol tank. The kerb weight of the motorcycle in 154 kg, along this the ground clearance is 157 mm and the seat height is 835 mm. It has the same WP upside down telescopic suspension at front and WP mono shock at rear. The braking performance is amazing as it has 300 mm front disc brake and 230 mm rear disc brake and single channel ABS as mandatory. It gets all the same things from the RC 200 such as steel trellis frame , clip on handlebar , rear lift mitigation and the same fully digital and informative instrumental console.
Comparison
The RC 125 being a 125cc motorcycle can compete head to head with 150cc motorcycle generally. But the most lovable sports bike in 150cc category is the Yamaha R15 V3. If we compair these two motorcycles we see that Yamaha R15 V3 is a bit powerful than RC 125 as well as R15 V3 has almost all the premium features which the RC has, yet the Yamaha R15 V3 is 7000 rupees cheaper than the RC 125. Yes the R15 V3 doesn't have a trellis frame or upside down suspension instead it has delta box frame and dual channel ABS.
Conclusion
This motorcycle is made general for people who want to get a premium motorcycle but are in initial stage of learning to ride a motorcycle. Basically the youngsters who turned 18 yrs and got there new license. Who want to own a premium, powerful, fun to ride motorcycle.
