Hero Destini 125 - Better than Honda Activa 125 , Suzuki Access 125 ?

Hero Motocorp is excellent introducing economical bikes and scooters. The Hero Splendor is a great example of excellent economical commuter bike. A few years back Hero Motorcorp launched its revolutionary technology named "i3s" , which stands for "Idel Start Stop System". This technology was firstly introduced with a bike named "Hero Splendor iSmart" here iSmart meant i3s. It was a 100cc commuter motorcycle. After the success of Splendor iSmart Hero Motorcorp upgraded it with a bigger 110cc vertical engine which was newly made by Hero Motorcorp, this bike was further named as "Hero Splendor iSmart 110".
Later on Hero MotoCorp installed this i3s technology into almost it's every bike such as the Passion Pro, Passion Pro 110, Splendor Plus, Splendor Pro, H.F Deluxe, Glamour 125, Achiever 150 and more.
You must be thinking , why i am telling about the history of i3s technology. Because Hero motor corp just launched the first ever scooter having the revolutionary i3s technology.

Hero Destini 125

Hero motor corp introduced this scooter for the first time in 2018 Auto Expo. At that time Hero introduced this scooter as Hero Duet 125, but later renamed it as Destini 125. It is the first 125cc scooter from Hero , and the first scooter in India having i3s technology.

Appearance

The scooter will have a big Chrome garnishing over the front apron. The scooter looks similar to the Duet with soft lines and curves. The scooter is launched in five colour options :- RED , BROWN , BLACK , SILVER and WHITE.

Engine

The Hero Destini 125 will have an all new 124,6cc engine which will produce a maximum power of 8.83 PS and maximum torque of 10.2 Nm.
Yes, the engine will feature i3s technology as i mentioned earlier.

Key Features

Hero destiny 125 will have an external fuel filling cap, a mobile charging port, boat lamp, a remote key, as well as semi digital instrumental console with side stand indicator as well as service due indicator. The scooter is launched in two variants , LX and VX.
The LX variant will have drum brakes with Hero's integrated braking system and steel wheels.
The VX variant will have a front disc brake and alloy wheels.

How i3s works on Bikes

When you turn on the blue coloured i3 switch situated on the right hand side of the handlebar beside the throttle then the i3s technology is triggered on. After that whenever you stop your bike in ideal position which means all gear should be neutralized or may I say to neutral your bike after the releasing the clutch lever and then giving no throttle to the bike. Then after 5 seconds the bike engine will automatically shut down. After this when you want to start the bike just simply pull the clutch lever and, yes the bike will start smoothly . The ignition shouldn't be turned off between the time gap of shutting down the bike and again starting it up.

How it will work on Destini 125

Similarly as bikes when you turn on the blue coloured at i3s switch which is situated on the right hand side of the handlebar beside the throttle then the i3s technology is triggered on. After that as it is a scooter whenever you leave the throttle or close the throttle for a sometime , and engage the brake levers, then for the first time it will take 20 seconds to shutdown after that it will take 5 seconds to shut down. For starting it again you just need to give a little bit of throttle and, yes the Scooter will start. Again it should be kept in mind that between the time space between shutting down and starting up the ignition should be turned off.
