NISSAN MAGNITE

Nissan Magnite

Nissan launched the Nissan Magnite to boost it's sales in the Indian Car market. Earlier in 2020 Nissan gave the Nissan Kicks a new facelift along with some feature add-ons which you can read here, but that didn't attracted much customers as they expected. With the launch of Magnite Nissan targeted the Compact SUV segment which is running hot currently with consecutive launches of cars. Nissan did nailed it with the launch of Magnite which attracted a lot of customers which resulted in 15,000 booking withing 15 days of it's launch. The Nissan Magnite turned out be a good deal with attractive looks and pricing as well as loads of features and safety, Yes the Magnite has scored 4 stars in ASEAN NCAP crash test. So, lets have a look at all the details of the car with a slight comparison with other cars in it's segment.

Nissan Magnite

The Nissan Magnite comes with the similar fascia which the new Datsun Redi -Go facelift is offered with, mean while the rear is similar to the face-lifted Nissan Kicks, Coming to the interiors the dashboard looks nice while the center console is as similar to the Renault Triber's. Overall the interior quality is good considering the price of the car. Talking about the side profile the top trims comes with blacked out roof with 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Tell me your thoughts on the Looks department ! Do you like it ?

Nissan Magnite Front Elements

So lets move to the heart and soul of the car which is non other than the engine. The car is gets two options in petrol engine and two transmission options. The Nissan Magnite gets one 1.0 Liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission which produces 72 PS @ 6250 RPM  while it will produce 96 Nm of torque @ 3500 RPM and will give mileage of 18.75 kmpl. This naturally aspirated petrol engine is the same unit which we see in Renault Triber. The second engine is a 1.0 Liter Turbo Petrol engine with 5 Speed Manual Transmission or a CVT. The 1.0 Liter Turbo Petrol engine with 5 Speed Manual Transmission will produce 100 PS @ 5000 RPM while it will produce 160 Nm of torque @ 2800 - 3600 RPM and will give mileage of 20 kmpl. The same 1.0 Liter Turbo Petrol engine will give 152 Nm of torque and 17.7 kmpl of mileage with the CVT.

Here is the comparison between TATA NEXON, KIA SONET, HUNDAI VENUE, XUV 300, ECOSPORT and NISSAN MAGNITE. The comparison below is of the turbo petrol variants of the cars.

Nissan Magnite Rear

The Nissan Magnite is priced quite competitive compared to other cars in this segment. The introductory price of Magnite was Rs 4.99 lakhs to 9.35 lakhs ex - showroom Delhi, but currently the prices are hiked by about 50,000. The Magnite currently is priced at Rs 5.49 lakhs to 9.59 lakhs ex - showroom Delhi.

According to me if you are thinking or going to by a Compact SUV than Nissan Magnite is worth checking out, in fact if you are even going to buy a premium hatchback than also Magnite is a good option to go with. The car overall gets nice looks decent engine performance and good build quality. Only it gets a bit disappointing about the Nissan's service network which is very less and poor.
