Revolt is an Indian company which makes electric motorcycles who's headquarters is located at Gurugram , Haryana. This company is founded by Rahul Sharma who is the co-founder of Micromax and founder of YU. The RV400 is the first motorcycle from Revolt Motors. There are more such vehicles ready to launch such as RV 200 etc.
So, in this article I will be telling you about everything we know till yet about the Revolt RV 400.
REVOLT RV400
The RV 400 is a commuter motorcycle from Revolt Motors. The interesting thing in this motorcycle is that this motorcycle is fully electrical and much more interesting thing is that it has an AI (artificial intelligence) system. The thing which makes me more interested in this motorcycle is that it has loads of awesome features which comes really handy in our day to day commutes. Such as the swappable battery feature which lets people to charge their motorcycle batteries even if it's parked outside your home or apartment's parking. There is one more interesting feature or service which is produced by Revolt Motors via their app, let me explain this with the help of an example, think that for some reason you forget to recharge your RV 400 batteries or you are traveling somewhere and in the midway the battery of the motorcycle gets empty, then you can simply order a recharge battery for your motorcycle through the app or simply can walk into any Revolt motor dealer from a recharge battery pack with just a minimal cost. this feature in the beginning may take 4-5 hours to deliver a battery but as Revolt Motors co-founders Mr Rahul Sharma said in an interview that soon they will definitely deliver as fast as possible. The RV 400 will get three riding modes ECO, CITY and SPORT. The bike can cover a maximum distance of 156 kilometre on a single charge in ECO mode. Similarly the bike can get to a maximum speed from 80 to 90 kmph in the CITY mode and in the SPORTS mode all the things depend on the riding style of the rider. Till yet Revolt Motors hasn't disclosed anything about the price yet but as we think the expected price will be below Rs. 1 lakh.
Exhaust note / Engine sound.
You might be thinking hey this is an electric motorcycle but how this could have a sound. This is one of the most interesting feature with makes Revolts RV 400 a lot different than other electrical vehicles. This feature is basically for youngsters or bike enthusiasts. According to the Revolt Motors why should a motorcycle sound the same daily? this is the reason they have installed speakers to RV 400 for exhaust sound / engine sound. Initially there will be four bike tones will be provided in the official app, further we will be able to download bike tones such as we download mobile ring tones. We will be able to change by tones on our fingertips.
Affordability
In an interview to YouTube channel the founder of Revolt Motors Mr Rahul Sharma was asked how affordable the RV 400 will be ? in reply to this question Mr Rahul Sharma said that the bike will be that affordable that any college student will easily available to afford it even if he or she doesn't inform his or her parents or even doesn't takes help for money from his or her parents. So, according to this statement I think other they will give some special type of loan to buy this motorcycle for students. this is just theory which I think still there are not much information available about the scheme or the bike.
